On this episode of What's In The Group Chat we’re talking about The Jeremy Renner App. Yes, you heard that correctly, there was once an app celebrating the beloved middle-aged actor, Jeremy Renner.
Jeremy Renner is most famously, and I say that for the Gen Z, Hawkeye in the Avengers films, but he’s also a pretty serious actor. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in The Hurt Locker, which won Best Picture in 2009, and then was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in The Town the next year.
The Jeremy Renner App was launched in 2017 and it was created by EscapeX, which specialized in fan apps. It was kind of like Patreon in that Jeremy Renner was on it and could post photos and content, but it also had game-like elements.
